here’s some more information about my parents and grandparents. My father is Kornelis (Kees) van ‘t Slot; born in Vierhouten/Nunspeet in 1954. My grandfather is Berend van ‘t Slot. I’m not sure about his birth place, maybe Vierhouten/Nunspeet also. He was born somewhere in the 1920’s. He married Petertje van de Kamp. My grandgrandfather was Kornelis van ‘t Slot. So in this part of the family it’s tradition to give your son the name of your father: Kornelis-Berend-Kornelis and my brother’s name is Berend again. He still has no son, so we’re all waiting for the next Kornelis ;)). My parents and grandparents live in Uddel now. Uddel is a small cottage near Staverden. So I often saw kasteel Staverden before knowing that was the offspring place of my family.

Hi! My name is Ewout Gerards and I am related to the Van ‘t Slot family through my greatgrandmother Woutertje van ‘t Slot (1876-1958). She was the daughter of Hendrikus van ‘t Slot (1822-1903) and his second wife Driesje Schoonhoven (1850-1894). Hendrikus (son of Steven Reyersen and his 2nd wife Eibertje Driessen van de Pol)was a forester who lived nearby Slot Staverden. He lived in a small house that was built on the site of the former paper mill which had been producing paper till 1865. In that year the mill was demolished and Hendrikus’ house was built.This was also the end of the production of paper for Slot Staverden.

My name is Heleen van ‘t Slot, I live in The Netherlands (The Hague/Den Haag), 29 years old.
My father is called Elbert van ‘t Slot (he has 2 brothers, Rob and Henk). Their father was also called Elbert van ‘t Slot
I believe they have left messages here as well, not sure if we are all related but the name ‘van’t Slot’is not that common ..
Are there any other Van’t Slots or extended family Van’t Slots who are amateur radio operators? (HAMS) - any PA0 out there… I am on 15 and 20 meters most weekends from the lake in PA and would love to hook up with some Van’t Slots on the air…
