You’ve probably noticed that the comments section is currently disabled. Sorry for the inconvenience.
But due to some nasty comment spam bots, I’ve had to temporarily turn off the ability to comment on a posting until I can put in place an appropriate method of preventing automated comment spam bots (robots). They were filling up hundreds of comments a day with urls pointing to some undesirable websites.
I will try and have the comments section up this week for testing.

I’ve turned comments back on for the time being and will be monitoring them to ensure there is no abuse.
I will turn them off again if I feel it is neccessary.

Hi James, if your father is Peter, than I believe you are my cousine. I am the son of Jeanetta Albebertha Van’t Slot (1930). I just got back from a pheasant hunting trip in S.D. with my son and some guys I work with at the Grand Rapids Police Department. Normally I send out a daily e-mail to family and friends while I’m out there, but the farmer whose house I stayed at had computer problems so I could not. I include your Dad in those e-mails so could you let him know I had a great time hunting with my son Brian. Its not often a father can find an activity that his 24 yr old son enjoys too.
