about my grandparents

here’s some more information about my parents and grandparents. My father is Kornelis (Kees) van ‘t Slot; born in Vierhouten/Nunspeet in 1954. My grandfather is Berend van ‘t Slot. I’m not sure about his birth place, maybe Vierhouten/Nunspeet also. He was born somewhere in the 1920’s. He married Petertje van de Kamp. My grandgrandfather was Kornelis van ‘t Slot. So in this part of the family it’s tradition to give your son the name of your father: Kornelis-Berend-Kornelis and my brother’s name is Berend again. He still has no son, so we’re all waiting for the next Kornelis ;)). My parents and grandparents live in Uddel now. Uddel is a small cottage near Staverden. So I often saw kasteel Staverden before knowing that was the offspring place of my family.
