Website Down
Some of you may have noticed the site was unavailable over the weekend. AT&T@Home services were disconnected due to the bankruptcy of excite@home. I have temporarily transfered the website over to my company\’s server so hopefully the disruption will be minor. E-mail accounts for Vantslot.net are still down. Unfortunately AT&T has decided that its cable internet customers don’t need fixed IP addresses (ie: 24.0.228.189 or vantslot.net) anymore. Since DSL service is not available in my neighborhood the only alternative is a dial-up account. Hardly acceptable for running a website or making a living for that matter. Thanks for your patience as I deal with this ISP issue.

Hya folks,
I\’d thought i\’d leave a comment from the Dutch side of the family. There\’s a whole bunch of us in the The Hague area in Holland, and i\’m delighted to see there is a webpage for the family.
I\’ll visit here more often to see those i\’m related too.
Pieter
Dear all,
I thought it would be nice to leave a comment as well, being the sister of Pieter (mentioned above). I live in The Hague (Den Haag) in the Netherlands, born in Wassenaar and my family still lives there. I am 26 years old and pleasantly surprised that there is a website concerning my surname.
Hope to hear from you!
Heleen van \’t Slot
Elsibeth and Pieter,
Glad you stopped by… there are a lot of van\’t Slots out there. I never would have thought!
Ok, so I found a few bugs with the calendar and guestbook applications since the move to the new server. Hopefully they are fixed now. Please drop me a line if you find any other errors on the site.
