Introducing the latest Van’t Slot!

There is a new Van’t Slot in the world today. Maxine Grace Van’t Slot was born at 4:15pm (CST) to Rachel and Fred Van’t Slot of Dallas, Texas. She weighed in at 8lbs. 5oz.
The name Maxine is after her Great Grandmother Malone (on Rachel’s side) and Grace for her Grandmother (on Fred’s side).
According to the proud father, Mother and Daughter are doing well. Hopefully they will be able to take their little bundle of joy home tomorrow sometime.

Congratulations! Your father probably thinks she is the most beautiful baby in the great state of Texas. I hope you know how spoiled she will be. My family had just a taste of that when we visited Pete a couple of years ago. Probably time for a return engagement. God bless!

Hi, my name is Gerritje Van\’t Slot and my husband and I moved to Canada in 1953 from Holland. My husband and I moved directly to Winnipeg Manitoba in 1953, where I still live. My father\’s name was Berend Van\’t Slot and my mother\’s name was Johanna Bast. Our family grew up in Leuvenum and my father worked here and later moved to Apeldoorn working at a brick building (alpha fabric) store. My grandfather\’s name was Steven Van\’t Slot. I am one of 7 children who all currently still live in the Netherlands. My brothers names are: Steven Van\’t Slot, Evert Van\’t Slot and Jacob Van\’t Slot.

Later on Berend Van\’t Slot moved from Apeldoorn to Elspeet. I went to school in Elspeet. I am currently 73 years old.
