I just found my genealogy!
Margo, if I am right, are you mentioned on page 20, as Margo Ellen van Slot, daughter of Andrew & Julia Grotenhuis, sister of Carla Sue.
James, are you James Edward, mentioned on page 21? Son of Peter Everett and Beatrice Grace Alphenaar? Brother of Frederick Peter and John Robert?
So Margo and you have the same grandpa (Evert van ‘t Slot). Nice to see you have different familynames. Van Slot and Vantslot instead of grandpa’s name: Van ‘t Slot.
Sorry, Henny but I can not find you on the familytree. Can you fill in with more familydetails?

You are correct! I am James Edward son of Peter and Beatrice, Grandson of Evert.
My brother Fred has the geneology document at the moment. Hopefully I can get hold of a copy soon.
Dear Ingrid, Yup that’s me on page 20. I am not sure when but somewhere my father,Andy, dropped the ‘t in our last name. It may have been when he went in the army air corp but I am not really sure. I also think that I remember that Grandpa Van Slot (Evert) did not always use the ‘t as well. I think that in the local phone book he was listed as Evert Van Slot. So James and I are first cousins. James and his brothers are the only grandsons of Evert with the Van’t Slot surname. So they had better get busy and have some sons to pass on the name(hint, hint). Hope this explains the different last name. Margo

I was wondering where I fit in: my grandfather also was named Evert van \’t Slot and he lived in Elspeet/Nunspeet, the Netherlands.

Our son Christian merried on the The castle Staverden. On the 29th of june. It was on his birthday to. I am merried with Nel, that\’swhy our e-mail is called henknel. This year we are together 100 years of age. We have got three sons in the age of 28, 26 and 17.
Recently someone gave me the genealogy of the family.
It starts in the year 1550.
Our son Geert already sent an e-mail.
He is a specialist on the net. So he can sent pictures and other things about kasteel Staverden.
Henny from Zeewolde is a cousin of mine.
My father was born in 1911. His name was Evert.
Where do i fit in ? I am born on 4 september 1949 in a place called Zutfen. (Holland) Is there a family tree? and where can I find it ?
